Optional: 1 teaspoon honey
Optional: a few fresh mint leaves
Optional: ice cubes

Equipment

  • Glass or mixing cup
  • Spoon
  • Measuring spoon

Method

Add 1 teaspoon of Persian blue salt to 1 cup of water.
Stir until the salt is fully dissolved.
For a refreshing taste and extra alkalinity, add a few drops of fresh lemon juice.
For a touch of sweetness, mix in 1 teaspoon of honey.
Add fresh mint leaves for a cooling effect, if desired.
Serve immediately, or add ice cubes for a chilled version.

              Notes

              • Variations: add cucumber slices + a pinch of turmeric for a detox-style version; mix in coconut water for extra electrolytes; blend with ice and watermelon chunks for a summer slushie; add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
              • Use authentic Persian blue salt (not dyed table salt) for the intended mineral content and flavor.
              • 1 tsp of salt is a notable sodium dose, if you're on a sodium-restricted diet or have blood pressure concerns, check with a doctor before adding this to your routine.
